Welcome to Kingston High School
At Kingston High, we believe that inspired educators ignite lifelong curiosity. Tamara Hereford, with over 17 years of experience, exemplifies this spirit. Her journey includes leadership as Vice Principal at Vibgyor High, Horamavu, and as Academic Head overseeing ICSE, ISC, and CBSE streams, where she played a key role in shaping curriculum and mentoring teachers.
Tamara’s approach to education seamlessly blends analytical rigor with creativity. Certified to teach English, Commerce, and Mathematics, her broad academic background includes a Master’s in English Literature from St. Joseph’s College and postgraduate diplomas in Financial and Business Analysis. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning.
Tamara brings a global perspective to Kingston High. She has earned a British Council certification for educational leadership and was instrumental in helping her previous school secure the prestigious International Dimension in Schools Award. For her, every classroom is a doorway to the world, where innovation, curiosity, and engagement guide each lesson.
Her talents extend beyond academics. Tamara has served as staff editor for the school newsletter and magazine, coordinated the EUMIND (Europe Meets India) programme linking students with peers abroad, and led various student clubs, including the MUN, Reading, and Nature Clubs. Her commitment enriches every facet of school life.
An alumna and former Head Girl of The Frank Anthony Public School, Tamara is also passionate about the arts. She holds an eighth-grade piano certification from Trinity College London, enjoys teaching music, and is affectionately known as “Miss Fix-it” for her love of challenges and puzzles. Whether traveling, reading, or sharing music, she inspires those around her to discover their fullest potential.
At Kingston High, Tamara Hereford’s presence embodies our values of compassion, creativity, and excellence. Guided by her belief that “to the world you may be one person, but to one person you could be the world,” she helps every student find their confidence, purpose, and joy in learning.
